Vol. 135 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Killarney Air Field.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is prepared to re-examine the question of the establishment of an airfield in Killarney, in view of the large number of tourists who would avail of the service.

There is a licensed airfield at Killarney. It is suitable for use by light aircraft.

The traffic available for regular air services into Killarney is not sufficient to justify the expense of constructing and maintaining a regular airport there.
