Vol. 135 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Electricity Charges.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that there are strong demands from the residents of County Dublin to have the Electricity Supply Board charges on the valuation reduced to the city level, and that this concession has been granted in a number of newly built-up areas; and, if so, if he will make representations to the Electricity Supply Board to have the charges in County Dublin reduced to the city level.

The responsibility for the fixing of the scales of charges for electricity rests, under statute, with the Electricity Supply Board, and I have no function in the matter.
