Vol. 136 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Committees of Agriculture.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state in respect of each county committee of agriculture the number of members thereof and the number of such members that must be members of the county council concerned and the number of meetings held by each such committee in the year 1952.

As the reply is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to have it circulated in the Official Report.

The statement is as follows:—

NOTE:—The Agriculture Acts do not prescribe the number of members that must be county councillors. Each committee of agriculture is composed at the discretion of the county council concerned either wholly of persons who are members of the council or partly of persons who are and partly of persons who are not members of the council.
