Vol. 136 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Retail Price of Milk.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether milk, other than that sold in its natural liquid form, was being retailed at its economic value; and, if not, what subsidy was being allocated giving the cost of the subsidy per day.

If the Deputy's question relates to the sale in Dublin and Cork of milk reconstituted from milk powder, the position is that it would not be possible, at this stage, to determine the relationship between its economic value and the price at which it has been retailed.
