Vol. 136 No. 8

Committee on Finance. - Vote 34—Supreme Court and High Court of Justice.

I move:—

That a supplementary sum not exceeding £10 be granted to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1953, for such of the Salaries and Expenses of the Supreme Court and High Court of Justice as are not charged on the Central Fund (No. 27 of 1926; No. 48 of 1936; and No. 25 of 1945).

The circumstances which have necessitated this Supplementary Estimate are, briefly, as follows——

Make it as brief as possible. It will be agreed to.

Mr. Boland

A sum of £2,500 was provided by Supplementary Estimate in the financial year 1940-41 for an advance to make good certain deficiencies——

Mr. O'Higgins

Is this the matter which the Minister has already mentioned?

Mr. Boland

Yes.

Mr. O'Higgins

I think it should not be debated.

Question put and agreed to.
