Vol. 137 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - E.S.B. Employees.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state (a) the number of employees dismissed from the Electricity Supply Board's central stores at Lower Erne Street and Polefield, Dublin, since February, 1952, (b) the number of men under notice of dismissal at the central stores and (c) if it is proposed to take any steps to avoid any further dismissals from the central stores.

Decisions concerning the recruitment and discharge of the staffs of the E.S.B. rest exclusively with the board. I have no function in such matters.
