Vol. 137 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Offaly Drainage Work.

Mr. O'Higgins

asked the Minister for Local Government whether the Offaly County Council propose to carry out drainage work to Clonbrock drain, Bracknagh, County Offaly; and, if so, when the work is likely to commence.

The initiation of proposals under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949, and the determination of the works to be submitted for approval are matters for the local authority. Sufficient information is not available in the Deputy's question to identify the drain to which he refers and accordingly it is not possible to say whether a proposal in relation thereto has been formulated by the Offaly County Council.
