Vol. 137 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Galway Road.

asked the Minister for Finance whether proposals or requests have been submitted to him for the improvement of an accommodation and bog road at Kinnackinella, Dunmore, County Galway; and, if so, if he willindicate what steps he intends to take in the matter.

I assume that the Deputy is referring to a proposal for the repair of an accommodation and bog road in the townland of Kinnackinella, leading from the county road near Mrs. McManus's house south-east to Luke Ronans's bog, with a branch to John Glynn's bog. The limited quantity of turf produced on these bogs would not justify a full-cost grant for the repair of the approach road, but if the interested parties will submit the case for consideration under the rural improvements scheme, which requires a contribution from the beneficiaries, the matter will receive due consideration.
