asked the Taoiseach if he will state the index numbers of weeklyrates of wages in the Dublin district at the beginning of 1953 (base January, 1939=100) in respect of (a) industrial group, (b) services, (c) transport and (d) all groups.

The index numbers of weekly rates of wages in the Dublin district at the rates in operation on 1st January, 1953 were (to base January, 1939=100) (a) industrial: 208.7; (b) services: 209.8; (c) transport: 217.7; (d) all groups: 210.6.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the index number of the weighted average hourly rates of wages in industrial occupations in 11 principal towns at the beginning of 1953 (1939=100).

The index number of the weighted average hourly rates of wages in industrial occupations in 11 principal towns at the beginning of 1953 was 209.0 (base: 1939=100).
