asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state the number of non-nationals employed in Radio Éireann symphony orchestra on (a) 30th June, 1951, and (b) 30th March, 1953.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state the salary and allowances paid monthly to (a) nationals employed by Radio Éireann symphony orchestra; (b) non-nationals.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to combine the answers to Questions No. 54 and No. 55 in a tabular statement for insertion in the Official Records.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state the total cost of Radio Éireann symphony orchestra for the half year ended (a) 30th June, 1951, (b) 30th June, 1952, and (c) 30th March, 1953.

The total cost of the symphony orchestra for the half year ended 30th June, 1951, was £20,000; for the half year ended 30th June, 1952, £20,700; for the half year ended 31st March, 1953, £21,100.
