Vol. 138 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sheriff Street Playground.

Mr. A. Byrne

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state if he has received proposals from the Dublin Corporation with reference to their desire to provide and equip a children's playground in Sheriff Street, in the parish of St. Laurence O'Toole; and, if so, if he will indicate the date on which he received the proposals and the date of their approval by him andstate the cause of the delay in issuing his sanction and reply to the corporation.

Plans for a playground at Newfoundland Street in the St. Laurence O'Toole parish were received in the Department from the Dublin Corporation on the 27th November, 1952, and were approved on the 14th February, 1953. There was no avoidable delay in dealing with the matter.
