Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Reorganisation of Postal Services.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state (a) at what head office areas the reorganisation of delivery and collection services have been carried out, (b) at what offices the reorganisation will be undertaken during the current financial year and (c) at what further offices it is proposed to reorganise the services.

(a) Delivery and collection services have been revised in the following head office districts: Athlone, Ballinasloe, Birr, Boyle, Bray, Carrick-on-Shannon, Cavan, Cork, Donegal, Gorey, Kilkenny, Kilmallock, Letterkenny, Lifford, Longford, Mullingar, Nenagh, Roscrea, Roscommon, Thurles, Tipperary, Tullamore and Wicklow.

(b) Services in the following districts are being, or will be, reviewed in the current financial year: Dundalk, Monaghan, Ceanannus Mór, An Uaimh, Clonmel, Cahir.

(c) I am unable to indicate at present the further districts to be reorganised.
