Vol. 138 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Killorglin School.

asked the Minister for Education whether he is aware of the delay in carrying through the structural alteration and repair of the Killorglin national schools and, if so, if he will have the matter expedited.

Plans and a specification for the comprehensive scheme of structural alterations and improvements which it is proposed to carry out at Killorglin boys' and girls' national schools are being drawn up by the Commissioners of Public Works and are almost ready, but some further preliminary arrangements have yet to be made before the Commissioners will be in a position to invite tenders for the carrying out of the work. It is expected that these arrangments will be completed at an early date.

I am not aware that there has been any avoidable delay in dealing with the case.
