Proposals were submitted by Cavan Urban District Council for the augmentation of the town water supply by tapping a new source. Investigations showed that the supply could be sufficiently increased by mains scraping and certain cross connections between mains. Revised proposals on these lines have been approved.
Extension of the water supply scheme is not under consideration at present.
