Vol. 139 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ballyheigue (Kerry) Water Supply.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state if his Department received documents from the Kerry County Council for the carrying out of a water scheme at Ballyheigue for approval; and, if so, when it is proposed to approve of the scheme.

The source proposed originally for an improved supply at Ballyheigue proved on investigation to be unsatisfactory. Outline proposals based on a fresh source were then submitted by the sanitary authority. The Department's observations in regard to these proposals were issued last July. No further proposals have since been received.
