asked the Minister for Education if he will state the number of undergraduate students in the three constituent college of the National University and in the University of Dublin in the years 1950-51 and 1951-52 and the number of such students who were in receipt of local authority scholarships.

asked the Minister for Education if he will state the total number of university scholarships awarded by local authorities in each of the last three years.

(a) The number of undergraduate students in the three constituent colleges of the National University and in the University of Dublin in the years 1950-51 and 1951-52 respectively was:—

(c) I have not information at the moment as to the number of university scholarships awarded by localauthorities in the years 1950-51 and 1952-53. I am having inquiry made, however, from the appropriate authorities and hope to be in a position to supply the Deputy with the information at an early date.
