Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition and Division of Land (West Cork).

asked the Minister for Lands if he will indicate how much land in West Cork the Land Commission (a) hold for division; (b) are in process of acquiring and (c) hold ready for allocation.

The land Commission have on hands 2,600 acres of all categories in West Cork. A further 500 acres are in process of acquisition. Schemes have been prepared for 1,500 acres, including 660 acres of turbary, of the area on hands, and allotment will take place as soon as possible.
