asked the Minister for Local Government if there are any proposals in his Department with regard to the extension of the water supply from Joyce's Cross to Acres Cross, Fermoy, and, if so, if he will state the cause of the delay in carrying out this important work.

When proposals for this extension were received in my Department, it was found that on examination further technical details were required. This information was requested last August but has not yet been furnished.
