Vol. 141 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Commission on Emigration.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state the number of meetings of the Commission on Emigration and other Population Problems which were held from the date of the appointment of the commission up to the 13th June, 1951, and the number of meetings held since that date.

The commission held 78 meetings prior to 13th June, 1951, and 34 since that date.

Could the Parliamentary Secretary say whether the commission propose to hold any further meetings?

Much of the solid work of the commission is being done in committee, and I could not answer the Deputy's question.
