Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Grants for Laoighis Works.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that a resolution has been agreed to by the Laoighis County Council requesting him to make grants totalling £42,320 under the Local Authorities (Works) Act; and, if so, what steps he proposed to take in the matter.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that a resolution was agreed to by the Laoighis County Council requesting him to provide grants for the repair of roads damaged during the emergency by the haulage of turf; and, if so, what steps he proposes to take in the matter.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, it is proposed to reply to Questions Nos. 48 and 49 together.

The resolutions referred to have just been received in my Department. Replies will be issued to the council in due course.
