Vol. 142 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Removal of Hospital Walls.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state (a) when it is intended to proceed with the removal of the walls around St. Kevin's Hospital, Dublin; and (b) if it is intended to proceed with the removal of the wall around Loughlinstown Hospital.

The Dublin Board of Assistance have prepared a scheme in connection with the removal of the James's St. frontage at St. Kevin's Hospital and propose to carry out the work in stages. I hope that it will be possible next month to commence work on the first stage of the scheme which will open up approximately 30 per cent. of the frontage.

There is no proposal before my Department at present to remove the walls around Loughlinstown Hospital.
