The authority for the fees charged by my Department for services in connection with American estates is the Diplomatic and Consular Fees (No. 1) Regulations, 1943, as amended by the Diplomatic and Consular Fees (Amendment) Regulations, 1948. These regulations were made under the Diplomatic and Consular Fees Act, 1939.
