Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - National Loan.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the amount of the expenses incurred or to be incurred in connection with the recent National Loan issue and to whom the amounts of such expenses were paid or are to be paid.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state how much of the recent loan was provided by persons or corporations subscribing sums between (a) £100 and over, but less than £500; (b) £500 and over, but less than £1,000; (c) £1,000 and over, but less than £2,500; (d) £2,500 and over. but less than £5,000; (e) £5,000 and over, but less than £10,000, and (f) £10,000 and over, but less than £50,000.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to takes Questions Nos. 8 and 9 together.

In regard to the matters covered by the questions I am prepared to make available information on the same lines as that supplied in reply to a number of questions regarding last year's loan.

Accounts in respect of the expenses of the recent National Loan have not been completed but the following is an approximate and provisional estimate:—
