Vol. 142 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Shipping, Limited.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he intends introducing proposals for legislation for the extension of Government investment in Irish Shipping, Limited.

The Irish Shipping, Limited, Act, 1947, makes provision for an increase in the capital of Irish Shipping, Limited, and also empowers the Minister for Finance to take up shares of the company. The need forfurther legislation does not, therefore, arise.
