Vol. 142 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal River Survey.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state whether at any time a survey of the River Lennon (County Donegal) catchment area was carried out; and, if so, whether such survey gave any indication that obstructions other than natural ones are contributing to the severe flooding in this area.

In 1927 a survey of part of the River Lennon was carried out for the purposes of a scheme which did not mature under the Arterial Drainage Act, 1925. That survey showed that weirs contributed to flooding in the area.
