Vol. 142 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of County Donegal Rivers.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is in a position to state when and in what order the following rivers in County Donegal will be drained:—Lennon, Foyle, Finn, Deale and Swilly.

I am not in a position to say when, or in what order, therivers in question will be reached in the arterial drainage programme.

The rivers mentioned in this question are on the schedule— all of them.

I suppose they are on the schedule all right but in what order they will be taken I cannot say.

Can the Parliamentary Secretary give any indication as to when any river in Donegal will be commenced under the Arterial Drainage Act?

I cannot say. I think I made clear in my statement on the Vote here recently the order in which surveys were being carried out and would be carried out for the next couple of years.
