Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - House Building Costs.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state (a) the cost of building the different types of houses built by the corporations of Cork, Dublin, Limerick and Waterford for each of the years 1949 to 1952, inclusive, and for 1953 to the latest available date; (b) the cost per acre of the site if purchased; (c) the cost of roadmaking and drainage; (d) the labour cost in building; (e) the costs of materials; (f) architects' and engineers'fees; (g) legal fees in connection with the purchase or lease of site; and (h) any other costs considered relevant.

The information in the form sought is not available in my Department. The housing authorities concerned have been requested to compile the necessary details and these will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as they come to hand.
