Vol. 143 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Garda Strength in Dublin.

asked the Minister for Justice if he is aware of the need for extra uniformed Gardaí in the City of Dublin; and, further, if extra precautions will now be taken to protect the citizens and their property.

Mr. Boland

The need for extra Gardaí in the City of Dublin is appreciated and steps will be taken to increase the strength of the force stationed in the area when recruits who were recently attested have completed their training. In the meantime, arrangements are being made to increase the transport available for patrol work.
