Vol. 143 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Game Preservation Act Offences.

Mr. O'Higgins

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state the number of prosecutions brought in the year 1952 in respect of alleged offences under the Game Preservation Act, 1930.

Mr. Boland

The number of prosecutions, in 1952, for offences against the game laws was 228. While nearly all prosecutions were brought under the Game Preservation Act, 1930, some were brought under other statutes. The exact figure relating to the 1930 Act is not readily available.
