Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Waterford Housing Position.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state (1) the present housing requirements of Waterford City; (2) the number of houses in course of construction, and (3) what plans there are to meet the balance of the housing requirements of the applicants.

The present housing requirements of Waterford City are estimated by the local authority to be 528 houses. Seventy houses are in course of construction by the corporation, 39 houses are in tender, final documents are ready for 30 houses and sites have been acquired to accommodate about 300 more houses.
