Vol. 143 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drimnagh-Cabra Bus Services.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware of the inadequacy of the bus service on the No. 22 bus route from Drimnagh to Cabra between the hours of 8 a.m. and 9.30 a.m. as a result of which many persons have to wait for long periods in cold and wet weather and are kept late for their work; and, if so, if he will make urgent representations to C.I.E. requesting that additional buses be made available on this route during these hours.

The responsibility for making provision to meet the demand for transport services was placed by the Transport Act, 1950, on the board of C.I.E. Any representations in this matter should, therefore, be made direct to the board.
