Vol. 143 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Military Service Certificates.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state (a) the number and percentage of claimants awarded military service Old I.R.A. certificates in Kerry from 1st June, 1952, to 1st November, 1953, and (b) the number and percentage awarded military service certificates in County Louth during the same period.

The number of applicants awarded pensions under the Military Service Pensions Acts in County Kerry and County Louth during the period from the 1st June, 1952, to the 1st November, 1953, was County Kerry, 30; County Louth, nine.

I regret that as the Deputy's question is not clear as to what figures he wishes these numbers to be related, I cannot express them per centum. If, however, he will write to me I shall endeavour to furnish him with the information he requires.
