Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Local Authority Employees.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state in respect of the years 1930, 1940, 1950 and 1953 the number of (a) established, (b) unestablished, (c) part-time and (d) fulltime non-industrial local authority employees for which he is the appropriate Minister.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the desired information.

Following is the statement:—

The numbers of non-industrial employees of local authorities under the Local Government Acts, i.e., councils of counties and urban districts and corporations of county boroughs and boroughs, for whom the Minister for Agriculture is the appropriate Minister, are available only in the following form for the years 1950 and 1953:—

The Minister for Agriculture was not the appropriate Minister for any such local authority non-industrial employees in the years 1930 and 1940.

The numbers of non-industrial employees of committees of agriculture in each of the year 1930, 1940, 1950 and 1953 are as follows:—
