Vol. 143 No. 5

Committee on Finance - Supplementary Estimates—Leave to Introduce.

I ask for leave to introduce three Supplementary Estimates. They are token Votes. One is for the Department of the Taoiseach for £10; the second is for the group of Estimates associated with the Minister for Finance for £10; and the third is for the Office of the Minister for Social Welfare for £10.

I thought there was to be a separate token Vote for the universities.

What I suggested to Deputy Lehane was that he could move to reduce the token Vote by £5.

When are these Estimates to be taken?

The intention is to present to-morrow a number of Bills that are ready for debate and in case it is not possible to have a full programme these Estimates have been ordered.

The Courts of Justice Bill, the Imposition of Duties Bill, the Rent Restrictions Bill, the Intestates Estates Bill, the Factories Bill—and you do not call that a full programme.

That might be about an hour's work.

Leave granted.
