I am informed by the Commissioners of Public Works that steps have been taken to appoint an engineer who will complete the design of the new jetty at New Ross, prepare specifications and working drawings and supervise the work.
While every effort will be made to expedite the construction of the jetty, it is estimated that it may take six months to complete the specifications and drawings and to secure delivery of steel and other materials required.
