Vol. 145 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Galway Land Division.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state when the Land Commission proposes to divide among suitable allottees lands at (a) Polla-corragane and Kilhannon, Tuam; (b) Moyne and Feagh East on the John Higgins estate; (c) Ardower, Kilconly and (d) Kirwan estate at Gardenfield, Tuam, County Galway, which are now in their possession.

Mr. Lynch

The position in each of these cases is as follows: (a) An attempt will be made in the near future to rearrange the lands of Pollacorragane in the parish of Kilbeanan; its success will depend upon the co-operation of the tenants; (b) and (d) the acquisition of these lands is not yet completed and it is not possible to say when they will be divided; (c) there is an area of 91 acres on hands in Ardower, Kilconly. There will be no avoidable delay in disposing of it.
