Vol. 145 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Cottages.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the cause of the delay in having single rural cottages erected in South Kerry, even where sites are readily available, and if the construction of such houses, so long awaited by applicants, can be expedited.

The Kerry County Council have had a scheme for the erection of approximately 290 single rural cottages under consideration for some time but no firm proposals for the acquisition of the necessary sites have yet been submitted for my consideration. Any proposals which may be submitted will be dealt with as expeditiously as possible.
