Vol. 145 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary Water Supply.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he has received proposals from the local authority for the provision of a water supply for the Goaten's Bridge and Newcastle areas; and if in view of the great need for a proper water supply in these areas he will sanction the proposals at an early date.

The provision of water supplies to Goaten's Bridge and Newcastle areas is being considered by the sanitary authority as a part of the proposed Ardfinnan regional water supply scheme. This scheme is one of a number of very extensive schemes of a similar nature proposed by the sanitary authority and application for approval to it in principle is at present under examination in my Department.
