Vol. 146 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Flour Milling Industry.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if it is the intention of the Government to proceed with the nationalisation of the flour milling industry.

No proposals for the nationalisation of the flour milling industry are under consideration by the Government.

Arising out of that reply, though I am very glad to have heard the Minister make the statement he did, this is but a further example from the Minister of the complete conversion of the Labour Deputies——

That does not arise on this question.

Does the Deputy agree we should take it over?

The Deputy wishes to ask a supplementary question, but what the Deputy has just stated does not arise on this question.

I am asking the Minister does he agree that this was one of the planks of the Labour Party in the recent general election, namely, the nationalisation of the flour milling industry?

That is a different matter.
