Vol. 146 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Port Contract.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state if the contract period has now expired for the construction of the new graving dock in the port of Dublin; and, if so, what steps are being taken to enforce the penalties provided for in the conditions of contract for exceeding the contract period.

The contract for the new graving dock was placed by the Dublin Port and Docks Board. I understand that the period allowed by the terms of the contract for the construction of the dock has expired. The question of enforcing the penalties provided for in the contract is a matter for the board.
