Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what progress has been made by the Land Commission in the proposed acquisition and division of the Byrne estate, Corcreagh, County Louth.

The Land Commission have fixed the price at which they propose to acquire the Byrne estate but the owner has lodged an appeal on price which now awaits hearing before the Appeal Tribunal.

Mr. Egan

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether it is the intention of the Land Commission to acquire the estate of the late Joseph Bowles, Blackbull, Banagher, County Offaly, for the purpose of division.

The Land Commission have no proceedings for the acquisition of the Bowles estate.

Mr. Egan

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what progress has been made by the Land Commission towards the acquisition of the estate of Lieutenant-Colonel R.G. Minchin, Moneygall, County Offaly.

The Land Commission have obtained a detailed report on the Minchin estate and are considering whether steps should be taken to acquire it.
