Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Army Pensions.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state the number of applications received from County Kerry for special allowances under the Army Pensions Acts from June, 1951, to 31st May, 1954; and, further, if he will state the number that qualified for such allowances and the number that were not successful.

The number of applications received from County Kerry for special allowances under the Army Pensions Acts from 1st June, 1951, to 31st May, 1954, was 675.

The number that qualified for such allowances was 338, the number unsuccessful was 146, and the remaining 191 are at various stages of investigation.
