Vol. 146 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary National School.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the urgent need for increased accommodation in Moyne National School, County Tipperary; and, if so, if he will state the cause of the delay in dealing with the matter.

Increased accommodation is required in Moyne National School, County Tipperary. The Commissioners of Public Works have prepared sketch plans for the erection of an additional classroom and the execution of other works of improvement at the school. Certain preliminary arrangements must be made before the Department will be in a position to sanction a grant towards the cost of the scheme. These are being attended to. When a grant has been sanctioned it will be a matter for the Commissioners of Public Works to prepare detailed working drawings and a specification and to arrange for the carrying out of the works.
