Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the amount allocated to Meath County Council under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949, for each of the years 1948-49 to 1953-54 inclusive.

As the reply is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.

Notes:

1. 1949-50 was the first year in which grants were made available.

2. In addition to the grant allocations shown above a special allocation of £1,000 was made available in each of the years 1950-51 and 1951-52 and an allocation of £500 in each of the years 1952-53 and 1953-54 for the execution of works ancillary to operations under the Land Project.
