Vol. 146 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Motor Taxation.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether his attention has been directed to proposals put forward by motor owners and their associations for certain alterations in regard to motor taxation, and if he will state whether he has examined these proposals and whether he intends making any change in this taxation.

The Deputy's question is too general in its scope to enable me to reply specifically to whatever points he has in mind. I may say, however, that further legislation on motor taxation is not contemplated at present.

You are not reducing it?

There is another way of finding that out.
