Vol. 147 No. 5

Ceisteann—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork Air Service.

andJack Lynch asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state whether he is yet in a position to indicate when a scheduled air service to and from Cork will be instituted; further, whether there are any technical difficulties to be overcome.

As has been stated in Dáil Éireann on numerous occasions, the present facilities at Cork are not suitable for the operation of scheduled services. The question of providing suitable facilities has been examined and I have the matter under consideration but I am not in a position at present to make a statement.
