Vol. 147 No. 5

Ceisteann—Questions. Oral Answers. - Quality of Irish Saw-Files.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state whether he has received complaints from distributors and users regarding the quality of Irish manufactured saw-files, and, if so, whether, having regard to the State protection being afforded to this industry, he will take steps to ensure that good quality files are made available at reasonable prices.

I have received one complaint about the quality of saw-files of Irish manufacture. The complainant did not, however, furnish any evidence in support of the complaint. On the other hand, I have seen letters from distributors and users indicating that the quality of the products of the Irish manufacturer concerned is generally satisfactory.
