Vol. 147 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Native Wheat Statistics.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the amount of native millable wheat accepted by mills up to the latest available date, and the average price per barrel received by growers; further, if he can give an estimate of the quantity of such wheat not yet delivered to mills.

Up to 4th December, 2,633,281 barrels of native millable wheat were delivered to flour millers. It is not possible at this stage to indicate the average price paid to growers or to estimate the quantity of wheat not yet delivered to the mills. I may add, for the Deputy's information, that 168,167 barrels were delivered to the mills during the week ended 4th December.
