Vol. 148 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick Anglers and E.S.B.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he has yet examined the memorandum, which was recently submitted to him by the Limerick Anglers' Association, in regard to that body's dispute with the E.S.B., and if he will take steps to bring the dispute to an early and amicable conclusion.

As I have already informed the association, I am anxious to do anything that I can to bring that body's dispute with the E.S.B. to an amicable conclusion. I must, however, make it clear that under statute the duties of managing, conducting and preserving the Shannon fisheries are vested entirely in the board.
