asked the Taoiseach if he will state in respect of each of the complete list of items entering into the calculation of the consumer price index (as set out on pages 227 and 228 of the Irish Trade Journal and Statistical Bulletin for December, 1953) the ratio of national average retail price of each item at (a) mid-May, 1954, and (b) the latest available date, to its national average retail price at mid-August, 1953.

The following table gives the information asked for by the Deputy in respect of mid-May, 1954, and mid-November, 1954. The latter data are the latest at present available.
